education

To be honest I think that private education is Joke It is a personal right for people to become educated. I think that it is unfair for people to charge people that want learn. IN life to live we need education and without it we can not escape a world without out thought. One of the big things we  is learn in public school is to be able to think. thinking is what leads us to our belief.DO you believe it is right that we must pay for our belifes. This is a giant part of who you are . You honestly have a right to be a free thinker. To be a free thinker we are allowed to learn. Learning is not a privilege it is a right for an American to be able to be a free thinker. This allows us to look at situations and actually think about. I believe higher ed is okay if it is not free. This is a privilege. This is beyond basic principles. Therefore you should have to pay for more knowledge. It is in college where you form the most knowledge. Here you learn more education and thinking. Once again I believe we should not pay for a right to Human beings.

Freedom

So when it comes to what I want to see in my classroom I am really big on social justice. The idea of freedom and slavery is a topic I cannot wait to teach. To introduce this to the class I want to start with a word cloud with one word freedom. I want instruct students post anything that pops into there mind about that word. This is extremely important topic for kids to learn so they can better understand the world. The next tie in piece for this word cloud is then doing the same thing with slavery. After that cloud I want to start a discussion with my class about the differences between freedom and slavery. My main point is to get the children to see that they are opposites. I also want to decorate my classroom with alot of different says and thought provoking pictures. This will make the students feel like my classroom is a place to think freely.

Technological expierences

I look back remembering a time in elementary school where I learned how to type. When I was in first grade half of my class would go to the computer lab to play this game. The game was typing game that taught us how to type the fastest we could. THat was my first introduction to computers. As I got older I remember in middle school this web quest we did in my 7th grade english class. It was on To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I remember there was this word document we had to fill out and click different thinks that led us to places on the web all about race and the time period that this book took place. I used to love having time with the barely workable computer cart. It helped me explore and learn more. In High school we had a great number of computers throughout my entire school. We had this special classroom in the library that we would go to during big research projects. I would not say I am computer savoy but I have definitely had my fair share of working with them in the school setting. I wish to help and make more of an interactive one on one computer lessons with students.

Hello
My name is Jennifer Concetti and I am a sophmore here at Southern New Hmapshire University. My adventure here started last year when I was a buisness adminstration major. Quickly after taking some core classes my first semester I realized I was not really cut out for the whole buisness lifestlye. After taking the most amazing intro to sociology class I knew this was for me. My plan is to get my degree in Sociology with a minor in education and then go to work for social working. I want to be able to work with highschool students in the school setting. This has been a long path for me to make some big life choices but I feel like it is a great path I have started. I have taken this classes because I was interested in learning some cool technology things through education
